PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for obtaining in larger quantities a hydroxylase of a xylene monooxygenase that has been unable to be produced in large quantities per se as a protein fused with another protein. SOLUTION: A polypeptide-fused hydroxylase obtained by fusing at least one polypeptide with a hydroxylase as the protein constituting a xylene monooxygenase is provided. A gene encoding the polypeptide-fused hydroxylase, an expression vector comprising the gene and a microorganism transformed by the expression vector are provided, respectively.
