PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that has a plurality of circuits driven by clocks which are in a multiplication relationship with each other and can reduce energy of unnecessary radiation generated when the phases of the clocks coincide with each other. SOLUTION: In this image forming apparatus, the clocks in the multiplication relationship with each other are supplied to the plurality of different circuits provided on a control board. The image forming apparatus comprises a first means that generates the clocks having frequencies respectively corresponding to the different circuits in the multiplication relationship with each other from a clock generated by a single original oscillation circuit by using a multiplication circuit having a phase assurance function, and a second means that generates the clocks to be supplied to the different circuits by delaying the clocks except at least one clock so as to prevent the switching timings of the clocks generated by the first means from being coincident with each other.
