PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for preventing accidents at an intersection capable of preventing accidents beforehand at an intersection where a traffic light mechanism is installed. SOLUTION: The system for preventing accidents at the intersection comprises a radar for sensing travelling situations of objects existing around the intersection where the traffic light mechanism is installed; a means for detecting a change in flashing situation of the traffic light mechanism; a specification means which is connected to the radar and the detection means and specifies the existence of a dangerous vehicle according to the travelling situations of the object detected by the radar and the flashing situations of the traffic light mechanism detected by the detection device; and a radio communication means which is connected to the specification means and informs vehicles near the intersection of the existence of the dangerous vehicle.
