PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat waste liquid efficiently with a small power consumption by using a weak ultraviolet light source, concerning a treatment method and a treating device of the waste liquid suitable to be used for the treatment of decontaminated waste liquid, discharged especially from a nuclear facility and including organic acids and metallic ions, concerning the treatment method and the treatment device of the waste liquid. SOLUTION: Activated light from a photocatalyst 20 is irradiated from the light source 10, in a state where the waste liquid, such as the decontaminated waste liquid discharged from a nuclear facility, contain organic acids and metallic ions is in contact with the photocatalyst 20.
