<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the throughput of a local copying apparatus (image forming apparatus) for performing remote copying. <P>SOLUTION: In step S501, a copy function setting screen is displayed to wait an operation instruction by a user. If the instruction is inputted in step S502, it is determined whether or not it should be decided to perform remote copying (whether or not a print output destination device setting screen display key is selected). If the instruction is an instruction other than selection of the print output destination device setting screen display key, processing corresponding to the instruction is performed, and the process returns to the step S501.
