<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil seal device, not increasing the tension force of the main lip to a rotating shaft more than needed even if the pressure is generated in the inside of a sealing by the operation of a rotating device, so that the life of use is long, and the oil seal device can cope with rotating devices of various internal structures. <P>SOLUTION: This oil sealing device 11 includes: an oil seal body 12 having the main lip 12B abutted on the peripheral surface 4A of the rotating shaft 4 of the rotating device to seal oil in the interior of a seal of the rotating device, a fit part 12A fitted to a housing 2 of the rotating device and a connecting part 12D connected to the main lip 12B and the fit part 12A, respectively, and formed of elastic raw material; a metallic ring 13 superposed on at least the surface on the housing 2 side of the fit part 12A; and a garter spring 14 for pressing the main lip 12B to the rotating shaft 4.
