<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an aperture rate and a yield by decreasing wires and elements in a panel and to make it easy to utilize a panel space. <P>SOLUTION: In a pixel circuit, an active switching element 410 is connected to a 1st gate line 211, a 1st data line 111, a red 1st source voltage line 311R, a green 1st source voltage line 311G, and a blue 1st source voltage line 311B. To a driving means 440, a red EL element, a green EL element, and a blue EL element included in a display means 450 are connected in common. In a one-frame period, the respective EL elements are driven one after another. The one-frame period is divided into a 1st sub-frame where the green EL element G emits light, a 2nd sub-frame where the green EL element G emits light, and a 3rd sub-frame where the blue EL element B emits light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
