PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system capable of outputting geographic information, without depending on a display. SOLUTION: This navigation system interprets the geography in a periphery of a destination set in a step ST12, to generate the geographic information for expressing the geography in the periphery of the destination by sound, when it decides that a destination has been set in step ST11.
