PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a database management device which avoids the use of data of which the validity term has expired, even in the case that the data are included in a database allowing validity terms to be set to data, and automatically deletes data of which the validity term has expired, without much increasing the processing load of a computer using the database. SOLUTION: Retrieval and selection processing 304a and update processing 305 for the database are invalidated for data of which the validity term has expired. In a data insertion processing 703, new data to be inserted are overwritten in a position of data of which the validity term has expired. Data of which the validity term has expired are deleted in the update processing 305, and the unloading/reloading of data of which the validity term has expired is not performed in unload processing 902 and reload processing 904.
