<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily confirm a property number or property information registered in information equipment even when the information equipment is put in its operation/stop status, or it is not provided with any display unit. <P>SOLUTION: A property management system for information equipment is constituted of the information equipment 5 being the target of property management, the property management system 10 having a property management table 8 and a communication network 9 connecting the information equipment and the property management system through a network. This property management system is provided with a management tag 6 connected to the information equipment, and equipped with a recording part for reading/writing information, a control part for controlling the reading/writing of information for the recording part and a display part for displaying the information of the recording part.
