PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver and a broadcasting system for determining the switching time, between a program main part and a commercial. SOLUTION: The television receiver 1 comprises a broadcasting content detector 15 for detecting the switching time information between the commercial contained in a broadcasting program and the program main part; a remaining broadcasting time calculator 16 for calculating the remaining broadcasting time of the commercial related to the switching of the commercial, based on the switching time information of the commercial; and a display data control unit 17 for overlappingly displaying a decoded image signal and calculated remaining time.
