PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a delay time in access operation and to simultaneously prevent the service life of a mechanical deck part from being shortened by frequent movement of a read head, when two or more users access to one disk medium through two or more channels to reproduce desired music pieces and videos desired by himself/herself from the disk medium. SOLUTION: Assuming the number of access channels as N, the total read time of data within one cycle time is defined as read time Trd, and the suspension time without moving the read head until the next cycle is defined as a time interval Titv. When there are many access channels such as N = 6, 5, 4, and 3, the time interval Titv and the read time Trd are shortened as shown by the points P6a, P5a, P4a, and P3a at the time of starting accessing, and the time interval Titv and the read time Trd are made longer as shown by the points P6b, P5B, P4b, and P3b thereafter in the steady state of accessing.
