PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely fix a packing member connecting a water tub and a clothes slot of a drum type washing machine. SOLUTION: The drum type washing machine is structured so that the packing member 16 is clasped and fixed between a mounting plate 17 which is divided into a plurality of sections in the peripheral direction, and a front plate 13. As the mounting plate 17 is divided, uniform force is applied to the packing member 16, and the packing member 16 can be firmly fixed to the front plate 13.
