<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of performing double-sided printing, the apparatus with which the image frame of either side and the image frame of the other side in double-sided printing are made to synchronize with paper and also the image frame in one-sided printing can be made to synchronize with the paper like the image frames in double-sided printing. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus where an image is printed on both sides of the paper at a 1st printing step in which the image is printed on either side of the paper by transporting the paper P to an image forming part while taking either end of the paper P as a leading edge LP and the other end opposed to either end as a trailing edge TP, and a 2nd printing step in which the image is printed on the other side of the paper by transporting the paper to the image forming part again while taking the other end of the paper as the leading edge LP from a state where the paper is switched back thereafter, the image is printed on either side of the paper by performing correction so that the side TI of the image frame I parallel with and corresponding to the other end of the paper out of four sides in the 1st printing step may be aligned with the other end TP of the paper. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
