<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for realizing a low cost, low power consumption, and a small sized mobile communication terminal system by integrating memory systems and peripheral circuits of a DSP and a CPU. <P>SOLUTION: The mobile communication terminal system is realized by a DSP/CPU core 601 integrated as a single bus master, an integrated external bus interface 606, a DSP/CPU integrated chip 600 provided with an integrated peripheral circuit interface. The memory systems and the peripheral circuits of the DSP and the CPU can thus be integrated to realize the mobile communication terminal system which is low in cost and power consumption, and small in size. However, in conventional techniques: (1) the system with a DSP and a CPU independent of each other requires two external memory systems, though cost reduction, power saving, and downsizing are three very important factors for a mobile communication terminal; (2) two peripheral units for data input/output data are also required for the DSP and the CPU, respectively.
