<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of reducing an impact force generated when a developing unit and a drum unit abut against each other. <P>SOLUTION: An engagement projection part 124 is formed on the side of the developing unit 120 and a buffer means 130 is provided on the side of an image forming apparatus body 101; when an engaged oblique surface 132A of a pressing member 132 consisting the buffer means 130 and an engaging oblique surface 132A of the engagement projection part 124 engage each other and the developing unit 120 is inserted in the insertion direction, a reaction force of a 1st spring member 131 is transmitted in the opposite direction. Consequently, the inserting speed of the developing unit 120 is reduced right before the developing unit 120 abuts against the drum unit 110 to obtain buffer effect. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
