PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a study support system which enables a learner to immediately carry out memory study with just a simple operation of a portable terminal, in which system management is easy and which is provided at low cost. SOLUTION: The memory study support system consists of: a memory study server 3 having a learning information database wherein word information to be learned by the learner and its semantic information is recorded for each learning course; a learner management system 2 connected to the memory study server 3 and having an individual information database; and a portable terminal 1 consisting of a cellular phone. The memory study server 3 makes the portable terminal 1 display, in a selectable way, to an authorized learner the course in which the learner presently participates, refers to corresponding learning information in the learning information database on the basis of selected learning course which is selected and transmitted from the portable terminal 1, and displays word information for the selected learning course on the portable terminal 1.
