PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector in which heat dissipation of the heat generating element is promoted and a separate shield for preventing electromagnetic interference is not required, and an opposite connector connected to this connector. SOLUTION: The connector socket (connector) 1a has a shield case 11 covering the IC 31 installed nearby on the identical substrate 3 and thereby, heat dissipation and electromagnetic shielding of the IC 31 are carried out. The connector plug (opposite connector) 2a has a plug part 26 and a plug shield 23 arranged exposed outside of the connector plug 2a.
