PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virtual image type vehicle meter enhancing the visibility by giving a three-dimensional sense to letters of virtual images through utilization of the interfering action. SOLUTION: The virtual image type vehicle meter is equipped with a meter body 15 to display the varying amount related to the vehicle condition in letters by the letter display light and a reflection mirror 20 to reflect the letter display light and allows a person to view the letters on the meter body 15 as virtual image letters at its front face. The meter body emits the letter display light having a plurality of spectra, and the reflection mirror 20 is formed in stratification consisting of a half mirror 20 to reflect part of the incident beam of the letter display light and an interfering layer 23 to assume the interfering action to one part of the incident beam of the letter display light, and around each virtual image letter caused by reflection of a reflection layer 23, a shade of different color from the letter display light is formed by reflection of the interfering layer 23.
