PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory device and a memory control method therefor, which increase a drawing speed by efficiently executing output processing and erase processing in a plurality of memories wherein image information is stored per band. SOLUTION: The memory device is provided with two memories including a plurality of storage areas wherein image information is stored per band, and two control means for controlling two memories respectively. When either of two control means outputs image information stored in one storage area of one memory, to the outside, the other control means erases image information which is stored in one storage area of the other memory and has been already outputted to the outside.
