PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a displacement detecting apparatus for a railway rolling stock, which displacement detecting apparatus is arranged between a bogie and a body of the railway rolling stock and detects the relative displacement of the body with respect to the bogie in the direction of the height, and can reduce the transfer of the vibration of the bogie to an angle sensor with a configuration of a low cost. SOLUTION: A lever 2 which can rotate following the bogie side is provided. An angle sensor 6 is fixed to the body side. A transmission shaft 4 (a second transmission shaft) is fixed to the rotary shaft 6a of the angle sensor 6. A first transmission shaft 3 is provided on the base portion of the lever 2. The first transmission shaft 3 is coaxially arranged with the second transmission shaft 4. The first transmission shaft 3 and the second transmission shaft 4 are connected by means of a coil spring 7 which elastically deforms in the expanding and contracting directions of its diameter.
