PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal fitting fixing structure and a metal fitting fixing method, easily fitting and fixing the metal fitting to a thin hollow rod by a simple device with small working man-hours. SOLUTION: This metal fitting fixing structure includes: the hollow rod; and the metal fitting having an insert part at the end part thereof, wherein the insert part is inserted in the hollow rod to fit and fix the metal fitting. A recessed part is formed on the outer peripheral part of the insert part, and after the insert part is inserted in the hollow rod, the position of the recessed part is pressed from the outside and caulked to fit and fix the metal fitting to the hollow rod.
