PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a variable valve system capable of simplifying control being stable and extremely low in following delay. SOLUTION: An ECU calculates a target working angle (r) and a difference between the target working angle and a last time target working angle value (r)' being 2ms before memorized by processing of a block 31 is determined by a block 32 as a variation speed (v) to be feed-forward-controlled. Further, from the target working angle (r) and a real value inputted from a sensor, a deviation to be corrected is determined by feedback control and regarded as a virtual speed (u). The variation speed (v) and the virtual speed (u) are added through processing of a block 33. From an added set variation speed (v+u) and the inputted target working angle (r), a stored three dimensional map M3 is referred to determine a voltage E being a control amount to be outputted.
