<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical score display device which can attractively display not only notes, but also lyrics or chord names, and a program for realizing a musical score display method. <P>SOLUTION: Musical performance data of a measure comprise a note series having 1st, 2nd, and 4th beats each composed of one quarter note and a 3rd beat composed of two eighth notes, and a lyrics series wherein characters are made to correspond to the notes, one to one. The length of a display area of each beat along the time base is fixed, so lyrics of the 3rd beat are displayed overlapping as shown by (a). A place where lyrics are displayed overlapping is detected and lyrics after the detected place are displayed right below the previous stage (refer to (b)). If there are still places which are displayed overlapping even when lyrics are larger in number than notes and lyrics display is made in two stages within a display range of one measure, the number of stages is increased until no place is displayed overlapping. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
