摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article recognition method and its device for further enhancing recognition accuracy, while enhancing production efficiency by enhancing utilization flexibility of optical components.

SOLUTION: This article recognition device 20 is equipped with an imaging means 18 and the optical component 22 provided on an optical path between an electronic circuit component article C and the imaging means 18 for recognizing the state of the article based on an image of the component article C imaged by means of the optical component 22. With the arrangement of a subject for testing, the optical component 22, and the imaging means 18 that makes possible the measurement of deformation constituents of the image made substantially the same as the arrangement used when imaging the component article C, the device 20 is equipped with a deformed constituent measurement means for measuring deformation constituents in an image occurring, when imaging the subject for test, a storage means for therein storing the measured results, and a recognition means for recognizing the state of the component article C with corrections made, based on the stored deformed constituents in the image, when recognizing the component article C.
