<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell that can greatly reduce a loss due to an ineffective area such as an electrode or the like and does not lose its effect even after it is installed outdoor for a long time without failing washing-out action of contamination by rain falling. <P>SOLUTION: The solar cell is provided with a photovoltaic device for photoelectric conversion, an electrode that is formed on the photovoltaic device and collects or transmits an electric power generated by photoelectric conversion, and a sealing member to seal the photovoltaic device and the electrode.
