<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor for vehicle which performs detection processing of a preceding vehicle efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing area is set up by detecting behavior of a self-vehicle while imaging the front of a self-vehicle, presuming a position of the preceding vehicle based on the behavior of the self-vehicle, for detecting the preceding vehicle on a picked-up image based on the position of presumed preceding vehicle.
