<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide constitution that can reduce a hand shake in shutter switch operation for a hand-held imaging apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A grip part 22 provided on the reverse side of an apparatus main body 21 provided with an imaging means is provided with shutter switches 23 and 23' for imaging. The shutter switches are arranged nearby a perpendicular L2 passing the center C of gravity of the apparatus main body 21 when the imaging direction (the direction of the optical axis L1 of an objective 8) of the imaging means is set horizontal, and operated along the perpendicular L2. Further, the shutter switches are provided at two places which are a position where a shutter switch can be operated with the thumb of the right hand when the grip part 22 is gripped in the right hand and a position where a shutter switch can be operated with the thumb of the left hand when gripped in the left hand.
