<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect breakage and tampering of data stored in a storage device of replacement parts to be attached to an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU of the image forming apparatus main body adds a CRC code 305 to writing object data 300 which should be written in an RFID tag and generates encrypted data 310 by encrypting the CRC code 305. Then, the encrypted data 310 is divided into writing units 312 with a predetermined size, writing command data 320 including each writing unit 312 is generated and transmitted to the RFID tag 210. The RFID tag 210 writes the writing unit 312 of the encrypted data 310 in the data 320, to a built-in memory by processing the writing command data 320 received. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
