<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize deterioration of a fuel cell caused by continuing power generation in a condition not suitable for power generation. <P>SOLUTION: A voltage rise detection means 11 detects a voltage rising condition of a fuel cell stack 10 after starting supplying reactive gas to the fuel cell stack 10. A control unit 13 determines an internal state of the fuel cell stack 10 based on the voltage rising situation of the fuel cell stack 10. Based on the determination result, a later operating mode of the fuel cell stack 10 is determined. Thereby, the deterioration of the fuel cell stack 10 caused by continuing power generation in the condition not suitable for power generation is minimized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
