PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for conducting a medical checkup while a person is working or moving which does not require the person to go to a particular place and does not take time to conduct the medical checkup.
SOLUTION: Shoes for everyday commute to office or school are provided with sensors for collecting living body information. With such shoes, a subject can collect information regarding one's health condition from one's own feet unconsciously and send data to a health care center via a public radio line. In addition to various sensors, the shoes worn by the subject are further provided with a CPU and a weak radio wave transmitter/receiver. The subject is like a human hot spot. The blood pressure and the constituents of blood and perspiration are detected from the feet. An acceleration sensor detects the walking speed and ups and downs of stairs and calculates the burden applied to the body. Since the health condition of a person is one's top secret, the apparatus identifies the person by fingerprints and vein patterns of the feet. The health care center is placed on a site in an information communication network. The health data of the subject are accumulated in the center and are analyzed by professionals in order to keep the person's health.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
