PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe roof mounting structure and mounting method that can positively prevent the movement of a connection part between a pipe roof end part and a tunnel lining material in constructing a large space in the ground by enlarging the inside of pipe roofs installed in a semicircular or arcuate shape as earth retaining works between tunnels bored in parallel. SOLUTION: The pipe roofs 2, 2 are constructed arcuately in vertical symmetry on the upper side and lower side between the shield tunnels 1, 1 bored in parallel. Each pipe roof 2 is formed of a plurality of jacking pipes 4, and each end part is connected to an SC segment 3 installed as the lining material of the shield tunnel 1. A pedestal 5 is installed at the connection part. The pedestal 5 and one inside point of the segment 3 are connected by a timbering material 7 to restrain the movement of the connection part.
