PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oily N-alkyloxycarbonyl-S-(N-benzyloxycarbonylaminoethyl)cysteine compound as its amine salt which is easy to handle and purify. SOLUTION: A 1-phenylamine compound is allowed to act on the N-alkyloxycarbonyl-S-(N-benzyloxycarbonylaminoethyl)cysteine compound to produce a 1-phenylamine compound salt crystal of the N-alkyloxycarbonyl-S-(N-benzyloxycarbonylaminoethyl)cysteine compound.
