PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support stand for X-ray photography which has no adverse effects to X-ray transmission images. SOLUTION: The stand comprises a stage (12) in which a concave part on which an object to be inspected is placed is provided and a supporting part (13) to support the stage at a certain height, particularly, the stage and the supporting part being formed by a plurality of latticed beams (11). Preferably, a plurality of beams are arranged to be slanted against each of the side part of the stand, which is a nearly rectangular parallelepiped, to reduce overlap in the X-ray irradiation direction to a minimum.
