In a push - button switch a socket contact is loosely mounted on the plunger so that it is free to rotate relative to the plunger axis. As shown, a two-part insulating plunger 40, 18 is biased outwardly by a spring 20 which acts between a shoulder on the plunger and the lip 27 formed at the end of a rigid snap-fastener mounting member 12. A socket contact 46 is retained on the plunger by the loose engagement of its bent-over end 56 with the shoulders 30 formed on the inside of the plunger. |
