PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push button for a switch having a fitting part not hitching on a fitting groove of a case when fitting it to the fitting groove, which can be smoothly and perfectly mounted on the case regardless of scatter of parts and insertion force. SOLUTION: For the purpose of supporting a central thick wall part 31 of the push button for the switch, a ring-shaped fitting part 34 fitting to the fitting groove 11 of the case 1 is formed on a peripheral end part of a ring-shaped thin wall part 32 formed at the outer periphery of the central thick wall part, and a cross section of the ring-shaped fitting part is formed into a dog-leg shape. A clearance A is provided between the fitting part and the fitting groove by making a height of the dog-leg shaped part smaller than the width of the groove 11. The fitting part and the groove do not hitch on each other by dint of the clearance A. When the dog-leg shaped part of the fitting part 34 reaches a bottom face of the groove 11, the fitting part 34 is elastically deformed and stretched by a pressing force to contact the wall face of the groove and to be fixed.
