TRANSFORMER, CORE THEREFOR AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core for transformer which is high in inductance and small in the tolerance of inductance while being reduced in harmonic distortion or in a total harmonic distortion (THD) especially, and to provide the manufacturing method of a transformer and the core for transformer having such characteristics. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the core for transformer having a gap for regulating inductance, the surface roughness (RaG) of a gap forming surface which constitutes the gap is specified so as to be RaG≤0.70μm or preferably RaG≤0.45μm while the gap forming surface which constitutes the gap is ground using a grinding wheel whose grain size is #400-#8000 or preferably #600-#8000 (JIS-R 6001).
