PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately display a video signal and a constant-luminance signal in an image signal respectively even when half-tone processing is carried out for the image signal including the two kinds of signals. SOLUTION: Used is an image signal processing circuit equipped with an image sampling part 4 and a decision part 6-i. The image sampling part 4 samples a sampling image signal of M×N (M and N: natural numbers such that 2≤M<P and 2≤N<Q) sampling pixels from an image signal, each frame of which consists of P×Q (P and Q: natural numbers) pixels. The decision part 6-i selects a selected image processing part 2-s which performs image processing of the sampling image signal among a plurality of image processing parts 2-i according to the sampling image signal.
