<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dehydrogenation method which is carried out by an environmental protection type method free from the production of a harmful gas such as carbon dioxide gas, nitrogen oxides or carbon monoxide without necessitating a cooling means for turning a heated gas having excessive high temperature to a temperature suitable for the heating of a dehydrogenation catalyst or using expensive power in the dehydrogenation method of a hyderogenated derivative of an aromatic compound. <P>SOLUTION: In the dehydrogenation method of producing hydrogen by bringing the hydrogenated derivative of the aromatic compound into contact with the heated dehydrogenation catalyst, the dehydrogenation catalyst is prepared by bringing a special purpose fuel into contact with a catalyst for combustion, heating the dehydrogenation catalyst with the heat produced in the combustion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
