PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of improving heel-and-toe wear without affecting drainage. SOLUTION: In this pneumatic tire, a block 5 is formed of a peripheral groove 2 extending in a tire circumferential direction T and a lateral groove 4 extending in a tire lateral direction on a tread surface 1 on which the rotational direction R of the tire is specified in one direction. A recessed part 8 is formed in only the kickout side wall surface 6 of the block 5 facing the lateral groove 4. Since the rigidity of the block on the kickout side can be reduced and the ground contact pressure of the block can be uniformized more than before, the heel-and-toe wear can be suppressed by relieving a friction energy difference between the kickup side and the depress side of the block.
