PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioning method and air conditioner, maintaining equal comfortableness and saving more energy with simple structure. SOLUTION: In this air conditioning method and air conditioner 1, refrigerant compressed by a compressor 3 driven by a gas engine 2 and indoor air are heat-exchanged, and the indoor temperature is controlled to be a predetermined temperature by blowing the heat-exchanged air conditioning air into a room. The heat-exchanged indoor air and outside air introduced from outside and heated by waste heat of the gas engine 2 are mixed and returned into the room as air conditioning air having a predetermined temperature and relative humidity conforming to the equal comfortableness.
