PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable correctly and safely reproducing content data described in MP4 or a similar file format, according to synchronous control information possessed by the content data. SOLUTION: In processing multimedia content data, the structure of the multimedia content to be reproduced is analyzed (S2), and configurational information of synchronous control items included in the multimedia content is converted on the basis of the analyzed structure of the multimedia content (S3).
