PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wallpaper having excellent electromagnetic wave shielding property, and an electromagnetic wave shielding method inexpensive in the cost of construction. SOLUTION: In the electromagnetic wave shielding wallpaper constituted of a laminate, an electromagnetic wave shielding layer consisting of a metal foil or a metal deposit film having the same width and a paper layer having the same width are laminated on one side of a continuous substrate layer consisting of a foamed resin. The electromagnetic wave shielding layer is laminated so that whose widthwise end is deviated in the widthwise direction of the same from the end of the substrate layer by a predetermined length. Further, the paper layer is laminated so that whose widthwise end is deviated into the widthwise direction thereof, or the direction same as the direction in which the electromagnetic wave shielding layer is deviated from the end of the electromagnetic wave shielding layer by a predetermined length. In this case, the metal is aluminum or copper and, when the electromagnetic wave shielding technique is applied on a wall employing the same wallpaper, the widthwise direction ends of the electromagnetic shielding layers are jointed mutually by the width of a length (d') at the jointing sections of opposed two sheets of wallpapers while being superposed up and down and being grounded through an earth wire.
