PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize interference countermeasure of a terminal fitting and a cable in a assembling work process while securing locking performance of the retainer and the terminal fitting. SOLUTION: The female terminal fitting 10 comprises a main part 11 receiving other terminals to become a connecting partner and a crimping part 25 connecting to a terminal of the cable W. Out of these, at the rear end edge of the main part 1, an engaging face 21 which is formed crossing at right angles insertion direction of the terminal fitting and engaging with the locking part 53 of a retainer 50, and a guide face 22 which continues from this engaging face 21 and is inclined obliquely toward the crimping part 25, are provided. Thus, since the guide face 22 is provided, compared with the case in which the whole of the rear end edge of the main part 11 is made as an engaging face, the length of the engaging face, namely the interference margin becomes small and low, the interference edge such as the cable W is hardly caught.
