PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability in a key input by easily performing input from a normal keyboard to personal digital assistant. SOLUTION: An input device 5 is connected to a personal digital assistant 6, and when a key input is performed from a keyboard 2 connected through a cable 4 to a personal computer main body 1, any electromagnetic wave leaking from the cable 4 is detected. Which key has been depressed on the keyboard 2 is read from the detected electromagnetic wave. The key information is outputted to the personal digital assistant 6 so that the keyboard 2 can be apparently configured as the input means of the personal digital assistant 6.
