METHOD FOR SPEECH RECOGNITION, DEVICE, AND PROGRAM AND RECORDING MEDIUM FOR IMPLEMENTING THE SAME METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, a device, a program, and recording medium for speech recognition that use the score difference between a word of 1st one and the word having the highest score among words different from the word of 1st one. SOLUTION: The speech recognizing method in which scores based upon probabilities that probability models representing features of respective categories in linguistic units output are calculated for sound feature parameters to determine as a recognition result the category that the model having the largest score represent, and the reliability of the recognition result is outputted together with the recognition result includes the stages of: finding recognition result candidates having high scores in addition to the category that the model having the highest score represents; finding the score difference per sound analytic frame between the recognition result with the highest score and the category showing the highest score, the category being a category different from the recognition result among the recognition result candidates; and outputting as the reliability of the recognition result the value obtained by normalizing the score difference in a frame section wherein the recognition result continues.
