PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation transmitting device with a bidirectional roller clutch easy to assemble. SOLUTION: The rotation transmitting device comprises the bidirectional roller clutch 10 provided between an input shaft 1 and an outer ring 2 and an electromagnetic clutch provided in parallel to the bidirectional roller clutch 10 for controlling on-off operation of the clutch 10. At an opening portion of a pocket 14 in which a roller 15 of a retainer 13 is incorporated, the bidirectional roller clutch 10 has a narrow portion 17 which has a diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the roller 15. Thus, the fall-off of the roller 15 incorporated in the pocket 14 is prevented during assembling the bidirectional roller clutch 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
