PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably avoid ribbon winding that occurs in a package, and to shorten the time until a package is fully wound. SOLUTION: When a package is formed by a traverse drum in a state where the contact pressure between the traverse drum and the package is kept at a certain pressure P1, the contact pressure between the traverse drum and the package is increased (P2) from a ribbon winding occurrence region reach instant f1 in which ribbon winding occurs in the package to a ribbon winding occurrence region escape instant f4, and yarn is wound to the package away from the ribbon winding occurrence region.
