The outside air is easily introduced during operation of an air conditioner while dew formation or the like accompanying the introduction of the outside air is prevented, thereby making long-term operation possible. A ceiling suspension type air conditioner (1) installed by being suspended from the indoor ceiling comprises a heat exchanger (15) and a blower (13) which are arranged in the order mentioned as seen from the front having a blow port (41). A suction grille (37) is provided in the bottom surface of a chamber (13X) having the blower (13) stored therein. The air conditioner (1) is provided with an air conditioner main body (1a) storing electric and electronic parts (motor (25), electric and electronic parts box (11)) and having a rear panel (60). In the rear panel (60) is disposed an outside air introducing port (62) in a place where the introduced outside air does not impinge directly on the electric and electronic parts.
