PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a streaming data communication system or the like for reproducing streaming data at a low cost without the need for a large capacity storage device and capable of simply deleting shared streaming data.

SOLUTION: In the streaming data communication system provided with a broadcast server 101 for distributing streaming data and a plurality of streaming data communication apparatuses (STBs) 102 to 106 for storing the streaming data as a video recording file and reproducing the file, any streaming data communication apparatus (STB) releases the setting of sharing of the video recording file when the video recording file is deleted and the other streaming data communication apparatus (STB) record the video recording file.
